Just had my 2nd gift card rejected. We went to cheese cake factory and I tried to use a 25 dollar gift card and it had not been activated. It happened once before with a Sonic card as well. Embarrassing to say the least. Does this happen often? Do stores not teach employees to activate cards??

My mom sent gift cards to the kids once. Note in the card was something generic like "These are fun!!!!".

Kids went to the store, no balance on cards.

Called my mom and she said "The pictures were nice so she just thought the kids would like them to look at."

Related story: This year at Christmas my MIL wanted to put some things in little Celee's stocking. Come Christmas morning we see that 2 of them were what looked like mini Dr. Seuss books but all the pages inside were blank, and another book that had a Chick-Fil-A logo on it. Thanks Santa!
