The is 100% demonstrably flat. I realize I will convince no one is this thread of that fact; however, I too once thought it was the most idiotic "theory" anyone could believe in.

I started looking into why people believed it, and came away convinced. If you feel so confident the world is a globe, go try and debunk flat earth with actual scientific data.
Most of you questioning flat earth have no idea what flat earth actually is.

Circumnavigation is an easy answer. North is the center of our world. When traveling east or west you make a circle around the north pole.

What made me certain was a couple things.
1. Water is always level and earth is 70+% water.
2. Long range photography can see way to far based on the globe model.
3. No engineering project has ever taken earth curvature into account. Ex. Suez canal - 100+ miles and dead flat.
4. Moon light is actually colder than ambient temp. It is it's own light, not reflecting sunlight.
5. Realizing NASA is BS. This was very hard for me as I grew up loving space, sci-fi, etc.
6. Planets are luminaries like stars, not solid objects.

Most importantly, it accurately reflects the Bibles description of earth. Especially the book of Enoch.

Aw hell, here we go. Just like listening to my dorm neighbor's evidence of a giant, subsurface ocean that somehow sprung up and flooded the entire planet for the great flood, then somehow vanished (or whatever) so there was land again.

Then there was the other guy who believed there were no planets outside our solar system. Some kind of religious thing like the first, and he had no way to explain the discovery of a couple of exoplanets by then.

The ocean is not flat. In fact, even classical people understood the Earth to be round because as masted ships sail away in a straight line, they dip below the horizon and out of view. The last thing you see is the mast as the hull has already been obscured by the curvature of the Earth.

Also as an engineer working a defense project, I can assure you the curvature of the earth is taken into account in the calculations for facility orientation, launch trajectory, etc.

Also, you know... gravity.

Not a troll at all. Flat Earthers are not ignorant cavemen. We have spent hundreds of hours of our own time reading, researching, experimenting, and observing physical phenomenon. Don't you think arguing about a topic you know nothing about is a bit pretentious?
