I see chicks everywhere using these things. I always thought they were dumb. My wife got one and I can see the appeal especially on the bigger phones. I don't see many guys that use them, mostly chicks. Is the GB pro pop socket or anti pop socket? If you see a dude with a pop socket would you say gay or not gay?

I have one of these so I can't use a pop socket. Also it would stick out more when I put my phone in my back pocket.

I saw a guy with one yesterday (ps I know this person). A business professional. I don't have one but I have a case that stores my Is and credit cards in the back (not exposed like the above photo). (Ps I'm female).

I have a custom pop socket with a picture of my dog. Pro-pop socket

I think they look weird and would not be comfortable in pockets... that said, I hear they reduce the amount of phone drops (anecdotally).

Of course the market is for chicks. 99% of cracked phones I see belong to women. These look ridiculous and would be super uncomfortable in a pocket. Compound the problem for folks that have a personal and work cell phone.

Also, it's excellent or holding the phone up while watching movies at work.

Why would you begrudge a person for using something that protects a $400+ product that is routinely dropped by people? I don't have nor need one (I have no case on my phone at all and have broken one phone in 10 years), but acquiring your sense of masculinity based upon the lack of a phone accessory seems pretty stupid. To me it's way less ridiculous than an Otter Box case, and as or more effective.

People think I'm crazy for not having a case, I'm just not that clumsy.

I do far less damage to my phone since adopting the pop-socket.

And it isn't at ALL cumbersome to put in your pocket if it's not extended. IF you have it open, then yeah, it's gonna snag.

They help hold your phone? Geez I always thought their sole purpose was to prop your phone up to watch stuff.

That said, definitely gay for me, fine for chicks. I too imagine they'd suck in a pocket.

The only way they go well in a pocket is if you wear frumpy clothes.
