it happened

A chemistry teacher at my HS back in the 80s was rumored to give passing grades to drill team girls in exchange for BJs. If true, it wasn't a well-kept secret.

World economics teacher slept with a couple of my buddies. I think even one she took in when he got booted from his house.

A football coach was banging a student at my highschool and it was a very open secret among everyone. That same coach got a job at another school several years later and ended up on the news for getting caught banging another girl at that school. Did some time over that one. Upon hearing news of this coach's arrest at the other school, absolutely no one from my small town said "I'm completely shocked by this news."

Assistant baseball coach's wife was a secretary at my high school and got caught ****ing the short stop. Coach and her got divorced later that year and the SS never played much again. He's now the head baseball coach and remarried.

EDIT: didn't read the whole thread before posting my question. But it was Clark High School, San Antonio TX, and teacher: Lou Ann Hogan.

I was a senior at the time there. Pretty sad story. I think the kid was as sophomore. A buddy of mine and I a couple years later got paired off with the guy that killed himself's Dad at a local golf course there. Really awkward when he found out we went to school there with his son.

It was a lot easier to get away with before cell phones. No pictures and no texts floating around to get you caught.

Had a teacher banging one of my middle school classmates. He was married with a kid, who was calling my classmate "mommy" before we graduated; his wife booted him obviously, and he left teaching... to try and make it in country music, I think. They got married but eventually divorced and I understand that it was pretty rough. His dad was an assistant superintendent.

My HS biology teacher was getting banged by football players in exchange for passing them. When they wanted to stop she wouldn't let them. One of the guys has a Superbowl ring.

Had a classmate that was close with our English teacher. Immediately after graduation they were pretty much openly dating. Later married. No idea what happened after that.

Was this in the late 80's? I went to Churchill and heard about this. Thought the guy or the friends that watched was someone we had met at a sports camp.

Yes. I graduated from Clark in May of 88 and all this went down that Spring. The kid involved and his friends were juniors.

The link posted above is actually the first time I've seen that she was found innocent and the boys were found to be telling lies. Once I graduated and went off to A&M that fall, I never kept up with what happened.

I graduated from S.A. MacArthur in '88, and I don't remember any of that. Crazy story.

My school:

-Band director tried inappropriate things with some gals. Got fired. Moved to another school and did the same thing. Committed suicide.

-Assistant band director in 20s and a sophomore...we all knew it. Lots of closed door "private lessons". She worked to graduate a year early and they were married the year following.

-Basketball coach in late 20s and this young gal. Everyone knew. Married right after she graduated.

Amazing what can be gotten away with in small po-dunk backward towns.

At my high school, almost the entire football coaching staff banged students. Half of our team were Eskimo bros with our coaches. It was an open secret, all the students, faculty, and parents knew about it, but didn't do anything. Our head coach eventually got fired for it among other things my senior year, but our coaches had a history of doing this at other schools, as well, and none ever faced any kind of criminal charges.

I'm just curious how prevalent this is, does this happen at every high school?
