Are they still any good? Used to eat there a bunch 10-15 years ago and it was the best. Been a few times in the last five (after they renovated/expanded) and it was good but just not the same.

I think in the case of Los Nortenos, the guy running it wanted to retire and none of his kids were interested in taking over. Don't know if that's true, but seems like I heard or read that somewhere.

A buddy of mine was held at gunpoint and robbed along with every patron of the bar that particular nite. That's pretty gangsta, but it was a few years back. El Patio on westheimer

I dont live close enough to it, so it cant really by my "go-to" mexican restaurant. But they have the old Felix recipes for queso and enchiladas which are my all time favorite.
