Calling all Comal veterans! I have always been a Frio floater, but a co worker/buddy of mine wants to float the Comal this weekend... I know the "can ban" is back in effect, and i'm wondering how exactly are you supposed to get drunk on the Comal. Please enlighten me, Ags..

Jug of your preferred liquor. Some people mix it.

Be careful, it can be difficult to gauge your level of drunkenness without the counting mechanism of cans. I was out there a few weeks ago and saw some folks in really bad shape getting medical attention on the banks.

the comal is better hands down. Especially if you are staying in town. You can shuttle to landa falls, park free all day, get hammered, sober up, shower and get ready for going out at night then take the shuttle back to pick up the car.

the can ban is a city ban so any waters inside the city, well not lake Dunlap.

100 oz or biggest trucker style mug you can find. Drain small can of pineapples pour in chunks. squeeze half a lime. Pour about a third of the cup with vodka or liquor choice. Top off sprite or topochico.

Optional: garnish with Xanax

Went last weekend. Guys each had a mini keg of Heini and had a tumbler of whiskey to share. Girls shared corksicles full of wine and vodka. Can ban didn't slow us down. Side note: all disposable items are banned, so we brought snacks (vodka soaked watermelon) in a massive tuperware.

We had a great time...I think! Happy floating.

Miller lite used to have party balls or the "home draft system" with a tap but I don't think these are still available. It was 1.5 gallons of beer and fit perfectly in a backpack iced down. We'd get those before the can ban was lifted.
