I quoted a photo of the dirt that the ER doc got out of Tandy's ear and caught a ban. It wasn't a photo of a person. Nothing identifiable.

He's still learning. The middle school doesn't really have a pole vault coach and the HS coach does most of his coaching with the MS kids during their meets. He gets more jumps during the warm-up period at the meets than he does during the week, which kinda pisses me off as he's taken 1st in both of the meets they've had so far.
Yeah, it's tough to get all the mechanics down, especially without a coach, gotta do lots of practice jumps. There's probably some instructional videos he can watch on youtube to get the form down.
Depending on cost and how busy his summer turns out, there's a vault academy in Navasota. We make make a few trips over there.
I'm pretty proud of the kid. Straight A student, plays tenor sax in the band, RB/WR in football, basketball, 3B/OF on his baseball team, and wants to play tennis once track is done. For track, he's doing pole vault, triple jump, 200m, and anchors the 4x200 and 4x400.
When he ain't doing sweaty stuff, he helps lead the youth worship on Wednesday nights, and helps out with the AV stuff on Sundays.
When we're not doing any of that, he's the 2nd officer in his Trail Life troop.
He also detests progressive leftist Democrats.
I think his mom and I mighta done ok (and we keep the little turd too busy to get into trouble).

MAC Vault, my daughter goes there. She's a soph this year. Started vaulting in Jr High, 7th grade I think. Then 8th grade was Covid so no school, no meets. Freshman year was a football coach that didn't know as much as she did. So we got her in at MAC.
First thing we figured out was that the poles weren't near small enough for her. She was using something like a 140x the smallest the high school had, she's on a 105 maybe, or at least was a couple months ago. So the pole actually flexes for her.
She improved from a 6'6 pr her freshman year last year to 8'6 her first meet of sophomore year. She's up to 8'9 a couple weeks later and hoping to clear 9' soon.
We highly recommend the folks at MAC. She said there's kids that come in from Katy, Cypress, Woodlands, for two hour classes.
