You pretty much described my husband's personality. It's a good quality in that his desire for "better everything" gives him more drive than anyone I've ever known. He works harder and is more innovative than anyone else in his industry, which has led to phenomenal success. The downside is that he isn't ever really satisfied with the status quo and it can be exhausting for the people close to him.
Just like any other extreme personality trait, if you're self aware enough to manage it in a healthy way, then it can be a really good thing. If you let it manage you, then it sucks.
