I watched mash so much that I just don't enjoy it like I used to. The opening song still causes a bit of a comfort reaction when I hear it.

I cant guess how many times I have seen each episodes. The saddest was when Col. Henry Blake died on in a helicopter crash on his way home.

It was a plane crash. It was shot down over the Sea of Japan. It spun in. There were no survivors.

Radar, put on a mask!

The saddest part is watching it now, knowing what will happen to him as you watch him get excited, tell his wife and kids and make plans for being home.

One of the greatest scenes in all of television history.

Was apparently done as a surprise too. The cast didn't know that was going to happen. Radar was supposed to come in and read a letter he'd received from the LT Col. They handed Gary Burgoff the note with those words on it and told him to go in the OR and read it. The reactions from the cast were real.
