I think it does. You see a lot of subpar, barely on-topic threads started that clutter up the pages.

It never really worked the way it should have. Before the star button people would reward star and chute replies to posts that were creative, funny, or just plain great. Photoshop threads were a great example.

Now premium gives stars for people saying good morning and politics gives stars for saying you need to buy an extra tea or obama sucks (which he does)

It's just the way things are these days. Everyone gets stars. Everyone is special.
