from the side should be shot. Hate these people. Use the bar like a decent human and if you're scared your precious immune system can't handle the germs, use a free wipe they provide.

Last time I saw someone do it, I did this to them:

What's worse is people that don't return the carts to the cart corral. That's just lazy.

I pull mine because I am 6'5" and bash my shins against the cart if I push it.

Obviously, you are a short dude who wouldn't understand these kinds of problems.

If you're 6'5 you also should have long arms. As a fellow tall person, I never bash my shins against the cart. It's pretty simple to extend your arms in front of you while you push the cart...

It's amazing the lengths these fatties go to avoid having to take a few extra steps each day.

Nothing pisses me off more than when fatties get a handicapped parking tab simply because they are fatties. If anything, those people should be forced to park in the farthest possible spot so they have to take a few extra steps before they go reload on oreos and bon bons.

takes up space in small isles which slows me down.

I like to stay out of people's way and would like the same in return.

20 years ago when I worked at HEB my favorite part of the job was getting carts from the parking lot. As long as the cart isnt going to roll and hit another car WGAS. Plus - if you have ever taken babies or small kids to the grocery store you arent going to leave your kids in the running car alone so you can walk across the parking lot to put away the cart.

If you're able to lug around your kids while shopping, you can also take them with you when you return the cart.

It's simple:

1) Unload groceries.
2) Take kids with you to return cart.
3) Return to car with your kids and leave.

how about I just load my kids in the air conditioned car first and stick the cart in the median

This. If there's not a place to store the cart within a couple dozen steps of where I'm parked I'll do my best to position it in such a way that it won't roll into another car, but that's about as good as you're gonna get from me.

Lame. Put the damn carts back where they belong.

I put the kids in the running, air-conditioned car, then lock the door and go put the cart away.

I would much rather have somebody not return their cart to the corral than put their big cart in the side where there is already 6-7 small carts and the other side is empty (and vice versa)...better to be lazy than a complete idiot

You know what's great? It's when you drive a truck and someone leaves a cart on the passenger's side where you can't see it and then you get it wedged in the wheel well.

And what's with people who take 30 items to the express checkout??????
Dad-O-Lot
How long do you want to ignore this user?
pull it or push it, I don't care, just don't leave it in a parking space when you're done with it!

Either bring it back to the building, put it in the cart corral, or at the very least put it up on the grass or median or something. Don't leave it in the parking lot, or even worse, taking up a parking spot.
People of integrity expect to be believed, when they're not, they let time prove them right.

Sometimes when HEB is busy, they will direct people with over 15 items into the express lanes to keep things moving. I used to think those people you mention were jerks, until I got ushered into the express line one time. Now I try to keep an open mind about it.

Special place in hell for this.

No, I don't care about your kids, dogs, grandparents whatever that you need to leave in the car for 2 seconds. The cart corral is never that far away. Take them with you or lock them in the air conditioned car and teach them to behave.

I have 2 kids (2.5 and 1.5). I would never leave my kids alone in the car, but I simply park next to the cart return thingy.

If it's so difficult to shop with kids, don't take them or use the curbside service that essentially every store has now.

I pull mine when going around blind corners and go back to pushing in the aisle. I hate when people push their cart out then look around the corner.

Hey, as long as you have a solution that doesn't mean foisting your problems off on other people and leaving carts all over the parking lot, you do you.
