Are you going to a regular person? And how difficult is your hair cut?

Mine can be time consuming. Luckily I only go 2 or 3 times a year. But I tip 20-25%. I think especially if you're a girl getting more than just a trim, don't be a cheap tipper. You're going to see this person again. They remember who tips well. That's all I'm sayin.

The same woman has been cutting my hair for over 20 years. I tip her 25% because she always does a good job, always makes room for me in her schedule, and she hasn't raised her prices in years. She deserves every nickel.

Usually a pretty good tip is how to balance your ceiling fan so it doesn't work itself loose over time, damaging screws and brackets and possibly the ceiling itself. Checking the balance is a very useful skill that I feel not many people know how to do.

My dude charges $12 I give him a $20 and get $5 in change. I give him all $20 at Christmas time. I get my hair cut every 4-5 weeks

Mine charges $16 and I tip 4-5 (I get one every 3-4 weeks). For Christmas and her birthday I get her a $20-25 gift card.
