Yes, we had Leisure Suit Larry. Forgetting to use the prophylactic when with the hooker was the first life lesson as a kid.
It was one of the first 1,000 made so I was told. Also it had a massive 8K memory upgrade.

Does anyone remember having to use a boot up disk?
In 1984, I was the only guy on my floor that had a computer in my room. It started up with a boot disk (floppy), then you had to load the program disks (WordPerfect and Lotus 1-2-3) each time. I think it had 20mb hard drive.
I'm getting ready to send 6 boxes of the things off to somewhere in NY to be imaged for this massive archival project. Apparently people just tossed old software over the years so a lot of it basically no longer exists as far as anyone knows.

This was my 2nd computer (family computer). The first was also a Compaq but didn't have a CD Rom. I was so hyped for this one though... CD-Rom... The future! I bought wing commander 3 starring Mark Hammil!

VIC-20 then Commodore-64. Parents could barely afford it, but I convinced them computers would be big someday.

Commodore 64. No disk drive at first. They gave me a big book of BASIC computer games. I'd spend hours typing in code only for a stupid game that I would lose when I turned it off. Man I loved that thing!
