Why does a kid need a party to celebrate the accomplishment of satisfying the most basic of educational requirements needed to confer a diploma.

Seriously, graduating high school is an assumed responsibility, like picking up your shoes off the stairs.

Taking a page from NPO fundraising a little too far. Event chair asks friends to be on host committee, host committee members then have to buy ticket or table to the event. I'd politely decline this interesting interpretation of that.
