Sat on my ray bans and broke them last night and looking for a pair to replace them. Looking to try a pair of cheaper frames, since about 80% of what your paying for ray bans is for the name. Anyone have any suggestions for decent quality cheaper shades?

By cheap I mean <$75.00

Ray Bons. You can get them in Nuevo Laredo. You can also get you a nice Romex watch while you are at it.

Walmart specials on the fishing aisle. <$5.

Used to buy expensive sunglasses and would break them within a couple of months. Buy a few cheapest and keep them in all of the vehicles and they last forever.

The local Academy had a set of polarized Ray Bay wafarers for like $140 the other day. They were your basic flat black frames. If you're willing to spend $75 on something cheap, why not spend a little more and get something good?

Because the gap you're paying in price is for the name "ray ban" and not any additional build quality imo

I have a pair of 580P Costas that I wear daily and a pair of 580G that I wear fishing. Sunglasses and shoes are two areas that it's not worth it to go cheap IMO.

A cheap paid of polarized vs a name brand polarized has a significant difference, especially when driving.

I visited Warby Parker to try on regular glasses. Love them. They carry sunglasses. Just ordered 5 to try on. Not quite as expensive as Ray Bans, which is what I currently sport.
