While not a remake, the 1983 Brian DePalma film was certainly a reimaging of a 1930's film of the same name and retained many of the same themes from the original. Maybe I would be more upset if I actually liked Scareface. IMO it only had two things going for it, a handful of memorable lines and Michelle Pfeiffer.saw em off said:I guess because writers suck these days. Then I guess it only had one thing going for it. I have only seen the film twice; when it was first released and several years ago in case I missed something and neither time did I come away impressed.Aston04 said:jkag89 said:Hollywood has been doing this since its inception. Disagree. Thought Pfeiffer wasn't all that great. Didn't seem like a great fit casting wise to me.
Wut? It was always on TV in the 80's and 90's. Every little Hispanic wannabe gangsta in high school talked about the movie and having the poster on their wall.Uncle Gunnysack said:it was rarely even talked about in the 90s. wasnt until all these *********millenials saw it after the moratorium was lifted for its 20th anniversary.Bruce Almighty said:
Scarface is quite possible the most overrated movie in Hollywood history. I thought only rappers from the 90s actually liked that movie.
