The 1980's Scarface was itself a remake of the Howard Hughes movie made in 1932.

Plenty of original movies every year. Blame the consumers for paying money to see it. Half the people *****ing about another remake will be seeing it opening weekend.

Hollywood has been doing this since its inception. While not a remake, the 1983 Brian DePalma film was certainly a reimaging of a 1930's film of the same name and retained many of the same themes from the original. Maybe I would be more upset if I actually liked Scareface. IMO it only had two things going for it, a handful of memorable lines and Michelle Pfeiffer.

it was rarely even talked about in the 90s. wasnt until all these *********millenials saw it after the moratorium was lifted for its 20th anniversary.
