Lol the man has nothing to do with the abortion. In this circumstance, the woman is the only one who can terminate her child. The consequence nearly entirely affects the woman, so she needs to make sure she's handling her side of things so she doesn't experience something she doesn't want.

And I never said a woman having sex is a *****. That's just making stuff up. But a woman needs to act responsibly. Her choices have consequences and the child shouldn't be murdered because she decided to have sex.

Not trying to put words in their mouth but I believe they are referring to the traditional roles of where a woman has a vagina and a man has a *****.

If these feminist want equal rights, they should be required to register with the selective service with the penalties that go with it if they fail to upon turning 18.

And to me, that's what feminism is all about. Want to keep it traditional? Great. That shouldn't be viewed as bad, but that shouldn't be the only option. If the man ends up staying at home and the woman works, that shouldn't be viewed as bad either.

And to me, this is about as ridiculous
as 2 women getting married and "having kids", 2 men getting married and "having kids", and the designated hitter (speaking literally here)... But I'm a bit of a SJR.

I have no issues with people living their own preferences. The dad can stay home. I don't care. What feminism has become, though, is a bunch of insufferable women *****ing about made up injustices. People can't stand the constant complaining and criticizing from women who "persecuted." Like another poster said, if you wanna see oppressed women, go to the Middle East and march.

I'm not seeing where the majority see this as bad.

My wife is a good example. associate partner at a firm in her mid 30's. Definitely will go toe to toe with anyone. However, still very traditional at heart and at home.

To YOU, yes it may seem that way. But there are others who think women like me are somehow 'setting us back by decades' simply because I believe the words of the Bible over social norms when it comes to marriage. I have said it before here, the 'all for us or all against us' mentality is what is dividing our country.

I'm a strong, independent, single woman who will soon be in charge of others and a multi million dollar machine. I'm a female who risks her life in service of others every day. But when I become a wife, I will also serve my husband and allow him to be head of our marriage. Because it is my choice.

I still want to know what rights men have that women aren't currently afforded.

Ok then don't participate in those relationships. Controversy over.

FWIW, I don't think we are disagreeing in any way. We just might have different ways of explaining ourselves.

I don't have an issue with the true meaning of feminism or the women who express their views with class. I just don't like the very loud, obnoxious women who act persecuted and use their gender as a way to get attention and sympathy. I think you're well spoken and a good representation of authentic feminism- even if we disagree about abortion. Sadly, there are so many who are louder and don't even understand their own cause.

Backwards or befuddling are Prob better descriptors than "ridiculous.

I don't "participate" in those "relationships" but I certainly get beaten over the head with those philosophies, metaphorically speaking, just like other normal people these days.
