I won't defend Zane Williams' voice but the guy is a good songwriter. Not too high on his last album but he definitely has some good songs. I think Wade Bowen is hit or miss, Abbott is more miss than hit, and Fowler just sucks now.

I've been listening to a lot of Cody Jinks and Josh Ward lately. Ward is awesome live and writes a lot of his own music. I think he's every bit as talented as anyone on the Texas Country music scene.

There's also plenty of other guys across the country that don't sound like that Nashville crap:

-Sturgil Simpson
-Chris Knight (terrible voice but excellent songwriter)
-Whitey Morgan
-Adam Hood

Bottom line, Bro Country sucks and there's still good music out there if you look for it.
