• Friend broke his leg helping someone load a U-Haul yesterday (not compound)
• It's strange when you wake up and it's 15 degrees warmer outside than when you went to sleep. Also it's raining
• I get to trade in a defective car battery... joy
• Wiper blades suck, gotta do those too
• Too much going on at work and home, things are starting to pile up

It is Monday.

One less Monday before the end....

-Fredericksburg was awesome but now I'm exhausted.
-Finish my year end review this afternoon.
-Tyler today and staying in Nac/Lufkin.
-Kids don't want to wake up at all.


Last few days has been Full of BBQ. Here's where I've gone and how I rank them:

La Barbeque in Austin - Super tender, smoky, and I love the bark on the brisket
Kerlins in Austin - Surprised I haven't heard more about this place.
Stanley's in Tyler - Consistently produces fantastic BBQ.
Cooper's in Llano - First time here and this location puts the stockyards location to shame. I didn't feel like there was enough smoke on the meat.

Y'all make it a great day and eat some BBQ somewhere!

Of course I expected it. But I can still ***** about, just like people in Houston can still ***** about the humidity or heat.

It was pouring in Austin Friday so we didn't even have a line! I showed up at 1 and thought they'd be out of brisket for sure. The pulled pork and turkey were great too.

- Several items checked off the shopping list
- time to dig into the history of a job to see where the money went
- one of my faucet covers broke, better get a new one before the rush on Tuesday.

• Feeling pretty bummed out this morning since today is the first day without my work buddy. She was the only other attorney my age and understood how disorganized this place is.
• Executives are making me move into her office - pitched it as "you get a bigger office!" even though it is about a foot bigger than my current office. Really don't care about that.
• A-holes covered up the glass door across from my office looking into the lobby with that frosted sheet ***t.
• Weather isn't helping my mood.

I love BBQ so much that I'd probably drive there just to try it. I think I'm going to Plainview next month for pheasant and might run through there.
