I may have been to Luby's a couple of hundred times - mostly as a kid after church, and I'm 99.9% sure I've never had anything other than the fried fish. I could take or leave the mac. I was mostly a corn and mashed potatoes dude.

Lubys sucks except for their fish. I'm not even sure it's quality fish, but it's damn good (Is there a fish that has perfect square filets?). They must put crack in it.

When my MIL was still alive, my in laws used to eat at Luby's every Sunday. I'm convinced the only reason they are still open is for people that can't cook. I haven't found one thing that they make that is edible.
Have you tried the rectangle fish? It comes highly recommended

The fish with mac/cheese is devine. Liver and onions is good. And their chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy is also surprisingly good.
