FIFY. I'm pretty sure they feed their dogs hatch chiles.

My wife is from New Mexico, so we've been eating Hatch way before they became an "it" food. It's interesting how the popularity has exploded and is very similar to what happened with chipotle peppers a few years ago. I love them on burgers but I don't think they're this magical pepper that some make it out to be.

Hatch chiles are the closest thing we can get in texas to the yummy southwestern goodness of green chiles that fertilize the cuisine in new Mexico

absolutely serious. slapping a bunch of green chiles on anything and calling it good doesn't make it so.

it's mediocre at best.

Reading a lot of responses, and seems people don't know the difference between hatch green chiles and regular green chiles.

There is nothing special about hatch green chiles other than they are from Hatch, NM

The best burger I've ever had was a green chili burger in New Mexico, but I do agree that the Mexican was overrated.

Yes, but chiles shipped over from NM absolutely do not taste the same as chiles eaten in NM.

True. My inlaws live in nm, and we frequently eat non hatch green chiles from new mexico, and they are wonderful. I love green chile soup

I'm in El Paso right now, driving to las cruces today. I spend a lot if time out this way for work. New Mexico Mexican food puts tx to shame.

My charges out here are as follows:
Hotel
Lucchese factory outlet
Mexican food
Mexican food

While wearing North Face and Lululemon yoga pants?

It's not about the pants- it's about the bag

But to get this nifty bag to hold your 4 t shirts and one pair of workout pants it'll be $500. I find their hippie, free loving quotes to be a little hypocritical.

And in my experience, most other places aren't even worth trying. The most disappointing meal I have ever eaten was at the local-favorite Mexican restaurant the day I moved to Colorado.

New Mexican food is definitely overrated aside from the green chile cheeseburger and breakfast burritos from Blakes.

Lived in NM for 2 years.
