I know, it comes from the original "Watergate" scandal, but appending "gate" after everything is just plain lame and annoying.

Now it is "deflate-gate". Earlier it was "Monica-gate".

they do that even in india these days and i am sure in many foreign countries. There is a "Coal-gate" in india for a coal procurement scam
