Tribune was running an article on the most famous alum of the Sweet 16 teams.
This says that for A&M it is Lyle Lovett.

Do you agree/disagree? Lovett is nice, but I wish we had some high profile ones in sports, movies and business/tech.

There's plenty of people that don't pay attention to football so I actually agree with this. People all over the country would recognize Lyle if they saw a picture of him because he was married to Julia Roberts and many others because of his music.

Wrong? Possibly. Insane? No.

Unbelievably there's a bunch of old people out there that have no clue who Von is. Also, he wears a helmet while plying his trade and that would hurt his ability to be recognized. Lyle also has a pretty recognizable face.

Honestly, if Von does well on Dancing with the Stars, he'll probably be number 1. The entertainment media coverage he'll get way surpasses the eyes that actually watch DWTS.

Right now, it is probably Lyle Lovett or (infamously) Johnny.
