I graduated from TAMU undergrad. Then I went to Tex Wes Law. they sent me some stupid certificate on printer paper saying "this certifies that the named person went to Tex Wes which is now TAMU. I wrote in big red marker "no thanks" and returned it.
I really don't care. Where I went to law school is immaterial in my life. All that matters is the law license. The only time I have been asked by a client where I went to school was a lunch or socializing. It makes no difference to me.
However, there are some people that this deal has hurt. Grads from the last year it was Tex Wes and people in big law.
According to them and the lawsuit against the schools, TAMU has systematically attempted to scrub tex Wes law from the web. They have also claimed all of our bar passage rates and pro bono hours as those of TAMU, which they are not.
I don't know where the lawsuit will go, but I don't want a TAMU law diploma or another Aggie ring. But it has been pretty ****ty the way TAMU has treated the alumni.
