Had to wear 5 my Freshman and Sophomore but my number was always #4 outside those two years. The guy that had #4 who was a upper classman wasn't even as good as me but he wouldn't give it up.

My kid who's 11 might throw harder than me if he keeps progressing. He's around 70 MPH at 11 on the Mound 54 1/2 feet. I think at that age I was 67 to 68. I was able to consistently be in the 88 - 90 range in HS, he might throw harder when he's that age. He's a blast to coach and work with at pitching.

Mound is 54 1/2 feet at that age. He's playing up next year with 13 and 14 which will be 60 feet mound. He's a tall lanky kid.
