Those are good memories! My dad would wear his whities when friends came over. Pretty embarrassing. Yall reminded me of another story. I'll have to type it out real quick
Ok. This might have lead to my not getting a replacement, spare key.
One time I went to my parents after getting drunk at the bar. I unlocked the front door and made my way into the living room where i would sleep on the couch, but it looked like my mom had taken my spot. I didn't turn on any lights and was using my phone to shine a little light on her, but she didn't budge. Next I went into mom and dad's bedroom and a dog started barking and scared the sheet of of me. My dad will not allow animals in the house so I really didn't know what the hell was going on. After some cussing in the dark and the dog barking, the middle bedroom light came on with mom and dad coming out to greet me.
They had another couple visiting. The gentleman required a wheelchair and had a service dog. My parents let him have their bedroom. This guy's wife was asleep on the couch waiting for laundry to dry and didn't move because she was scared when I approached her. Anyways, I'm glad they think it is funny now.

Seems like some bad communication on their part and/or your drunk self not remembering...especially if they knew you were going to be staying that night
I never call to tell them I'm coming to the house. I always just show up whenever I feel like it.
