I'm an ex super fat kid. I love sweet tea, but I had to give it up to avoid the diabeetus and shed some weight... As for the bevel, I'm not a fan of it either, but the Tervis was a gift from my mommy!!

That looks like the outside of a chicken house... Seriously it does. All chicken houses are made of a corrugated metal similar to that and those overhangs are used to protect the cool cells on the far end of the houses.
