Okay i guess ill start with this. What does the air force infantry and assault badge mean

Those are army badges.

Thank you. I now know what two of the badges mean. If anyone would like to explain further i wpuld greatly appreciate it

Basically it's looking at their uniform and knowing that they didn't serve because stuff doesn't match up. For example, the two badges you just asked about are badges for members of the Army, but he's wearing an Air Force uniform. Another example - the pic I quoted. The guy is wearing a Marine uniform, but he is also wearing the Navy SEAL Trident badge. Marines cannot be Navy SEALs, because they're not in the Navy. Therefore, you know this guy is a fraud.

Make sense?

I served my country for four years in the Corps of Cadets. These asshats that try to get away with pretending to have served really piss me off. Prison is too good for them.

It does make sense, i am just curious what all the different badges etc mean. for instance i did not know that was a marine uniform and i didnt know that the trident badge was for the navy seals. I understand its common knowledge for yall but i have no idea what the badges/ropes/pins etc are for and which uniform is what for the most part.

They may have been Marines first, but they had to leave the Marines and transfer to the Navy first before they could go to BUD/S. I know, "once a Marine, always a Marine." My point was that you would not see somebody in Marine dress uniform wearing a SEAL Trident.

I know a Marine Major who was a SEAL, and a SEAL LT who was a Marine Lt. The Major wears his trident along with his wings.

I'd heard of the latter happening, but not the former. I'd be very interested to hear his story.

Another indicator, BBA, is if they are wearing ribbons and medals. It's one or the other.

The Marine Lt served and got out, then joined the Navy

He was an enlisted SEAL, and decided to go officer and fly. After primary flight school, he had the opportunity to switch to the Marine side and fly jets. It is a very weird path, and he's an awesome dude.
