For once, we hit it right. A little cold/rainy but it paid off. We rode everything as many times as we wanted to, and came home 2 hours early.

They have really stepped up the police presence so I don't see the gangs. But then again I'm with my family and don't usually close the place down. With season passes we don't have to try and cram everything in.

We did that once with kids a few years ago at Fiesta Texas. It was during the fall and we were using our season tickets one last time. Little cold, little rainy... walk right up and ride whatever the heck you want. Kids loved it!

Amusement parks are the worst.

We to to Fright Fest a few years back and I couldn't help but noticed the law enforcement presence. While waiting for the kids to finish one ride, I approached a State Trooper and asked if it was always that way or if it was just for Fright Fest. He answered with this gem, which includes a nice little almost slip up:

We had noticed that the demographics seemed a little different that during the summer months, but that confirmed it. I guess I never realized that Halloween was such a big deal in the community.

Rode the Titan 9 times in a row on a day like that and started to feel dizzy. Think I'd puke all over the place if I tried it again.

What about Hurricane Harbor?

l kinda like playing golf in ****ty weather for the same reason. Nice to have the course pretty much all to yourself.

Man, I remember hunting all over the parking lot with my family for cans one year when we realized they had basically a coupon on them. Gotta tell you, it's not a ton of fun being poor, but I remember looking for and finding a can for each of us. And we still laugh about it. But I'm not sure I remember a damn thing that happened in the actual park...

Six Flags theme parks have had gang problems. Magic Mountain was cleared out once in the late 90s by gang related violence. I heard they got it under control. But I've heard now that Universal Citywalk in Hollywood is where they are. Which seems just as silly. But there you go.
