All this talk about splash back reinforces my though that urinals were designed wrong in the fist place. They should basically be a deep funnel so that you can glance the sides instead of peeing on a wall.

For those that unbelt and unbutton, I get the impression that their dick is so small that they have to do this in order (1) to find it and (2) it's too short to have enough clearance if they just tried the unzip/through-the-fly method.
I'm a boxer wearing unzip/through-the-fly guy.

Shocker that you think your technique supports the theory of having a bigger dick. You could easily make the counter argument that the zipper/fly method doesn't work with a bigger one because it's hard to get it out of a restricted area and through a tiny gap in fabric or between metal teeth.
I think it just means that you're not wearing pants that fit right

I piss directly into the drain on the bathroom floor to avoid splashback and the ever present puddle of piss below the urinal.

If you wear boxers, why would you undo everything and pull all the equipment over the top? I understand if you're wearing briefs with that useless flap that requires you to bend your peen 7 different directions before it sees the light of day, but with boxers the flap provides absurd amounts of access.

Also, stand close enough so that you are hitting that spot with a solid stream. When the distance increases, the stream deteriorates into droplets and that increases the spashback.
