I guess I should say touche', orion. However, I don't think the remark was meant as a racial joke as much as a joke against racism.

Anyway,I think there are so many things to take into consideration when you are considering marriage and granted, the extra problems you might encounter from small-minded people toward a racially mixed marriage is one of them. But so are differences in religion, ideas about handling finances, plans for having and raising children, and which way the toilet paper should roll. None of those should be the sole critereia. And none of them are anybody else's business. If you love someone, you decide if you are ready to make the committment to face any and all problems and go from there.

Race is not an issue. Where couples have more problems is with inter-cultural dating and/or marriage. Here you have people getting out of their comfort zones and if one of both partners aren't willing to embrace the others 'culture', you've got problems.

If he/she makes you happy, you're ahead of most of us. Who cares what their skin color is.
