They were also “troubled” by images of a bunny rabbit.

“It really bothered my two kids,” parent Majed Moughni, told the newspaper. “My son was like, ‘Dad, I really don’t feel comfortable getting these flyers, telling me to go to church. I thought churches are not supposed to mix with schools.’ ”

The school district did not comment and the pastor of the church said there’s nothing remotely religious about the event.

“Part of our ministry in Dearborn is to invite the community to let them know we’re here,” Pastor Neeta Nichols told the newspaper. “We’re offering various kinds of programming, fun opportunities, so what we can be engaged with the community.”

Too bad they can't be more like Christians, who would not protest at all if the school passed out flyers inviting students to an event at a mosque.

Except it was one parent and after that came out Muslim business, religious, and political leaders joined forces with the Pastor, said there was nothing wrong with the flyers, and gave them 500 to buy more eggs because they encouraged the Muslim community to let their kids join the hunt.

The Easter bunny is a lie fed to children at early age. It's another one of religion's tools to brain wash and control. Why not do us all a favor and call it the candy basket holliday. It would be much less harmful.

Isn't it a bit odd for a church to say "There isn't anything remotely religious about our Easter event."

So just open a community center then and calling yourself a church.
