I have same type of face. I find I like the smaller lens the best. Go try on some maui jim.

I have a long, narrow face as well and would recommend Costa Del Mar's, but they are not in your budget.

I was going to suggest Bolle but only cool people wear those.

Spend money on some Maui Jims. Best lenses around. You can pick up some Maui Jim Makaha shades for about $180.

I believe this was discussed some time ago on TA (I can't find the thread) but what type of Oakley's does Sumdog wear?

I wear a pair of Oliver peoples. Nice glasses but pretty steep. Look at some Mosley tribes or maui Jim's like other suggested. Oakleys are good for sporting needs but honestly they're pricey for what you get.

The last few times I've bought sunglasses/watches, I've gone into the store and picked the ones I wanted. Took down the item number then purchased them on Amazon. My last pair of sunglasses I saved $80. My last watch, over $100. And the manufacturer still guarantees the warrantee when I send in my card that comes with it.

Just mentioning it because you said cost was an issue. You may be able to get a better set of glasses at the online price. I just do it because I like saving money.

Should I go with black or tortoise?

I thought the same thing. I just got some new tortoise eye glasses and I like them.

I love my Bex sunglasses, expensive but very comfortable. They also stay on your face during activities. A good portion of rodeo cowboys wear them when competing during the big outdoor rodeos. If they stay in place jumping off a horse traveling 30 mph or so and grabbing the head of a 500 pound steer while coming to a sudden stop most likely they will fit most athletic needs.

Depends on what you want. Style, quality, etc.

I have a pair of Oakley M Frames. They're old school. I only wear then for playing golf. I also have a pair of Ray Ban Aviators and Wayfarers. All are polarized.

As far as the lenses go, the Ray Bans are far better as far as lens clarity goes. It's not even close. That's because they're glass lenses vs the Oakleys being polycarbonate. All Oakleys are polycarbonate. The Oakleys are a lot lighter and have much better peripheral coverage.

That's my 2 cents.

Glass lenses are a must. Since I started buying glass lenses from Maui and Ray Ban, I've had a pair of flak jackets (for cycling) with plastic lens. Worst **** I've ever owned.

Maui has laminated glass polarized lenses that, in my opinion, are the tits. They're not as heavy as some might suggest and they never scratch.

Ummmm...almost all Maui Jim lenses are polycarbonate not glass. If you get prescription lenses your only options are poly or hi index plastic. Their optics are great cuz they're all polarized. It all depends on what you want....style, sport, etc.
