if all kids these days are that big of a pansy then this country is effed.

You know "that" kid that's sat behind you on the plane, kicked your seat, talked, cried, fidgeted, whined, and complained? Or "that" kid that gets seated near you at a restaurant, screams at the top of his lungs, cries, whines, treats Mom like gutter trash?

Yeah, Caillou is the kid that makes the parents of "those" kids say "I'm damn glad that's not my kid."

I always thought that show showed a well mannered kid and taught some good morals. My little girl watched it. Hell, it's better than letting them watch Spongebob or sesame street.

has anyone read that study where they evaluated kids who first drew pictures, watched Caillou, or watched SpongeBob? I don't quite remember how it all went, but something like the kids who drew or watched Caillou did significantly better on the eval than the kids who watched SpongeBob. Something about how SpongeBob is so fast-paced that kids who watch it have a hard time concentrating afterwards. Caillou is pretty slow paced and is better for kids' attention spans.

My kid used to loooove Caillou. I thought it was okay. The earliest episodes are the ones in which he is pretty whiny, but he seems to get better in the later ones.

I agree. We outlawed fairly odd parents in our house. That **** is like putting a kid on crack..fast images...joke after joke...it's intense. Plus I'm not a fan of shows that make parents look like buffoons.

my daughter doesn't watch calliou, but she used to like pocoyo (WTF) and ni how kailan (chinese commie). i can't stand some of the shows on nick jr.
thankfully doc mcstuffins is her favorite now.
