Yes, Spicoli was #2, Jim Brewer and Dave Chappel #1. Its just a random list.


I always liked Brad Pitts' Floyd role just because it was such a small part of the movie with so many great actors. The scene where Gandolfini walks in while he's watching TV is totally unexpected. I thought it was great.

Spicoli is a classic.

Have to agree with those saying Spicoli in Fast Times. Although I'd give Cheech & Chong and Lebowski honorable mention.

My first thought was "Clerks". I can’t remember if they actually lit it up in the movie, but they didn’t need to for you to identify them as stoners.

What terms are we talking here? Best as in best represents the common stoner? Most likeable?

I agree that Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back should have made the list.

The Dude should be no further down than 3. Jay and Silent Bob should be on the list. Other than that, solid list.

Whatever you think is best...I liked them all for various reasons.


I think everyone likes Spicoli because he has some of the most memorable and hiliarous one-liners of all-time plus the whole 'mis-understood stoner-kid redeems himself and graduates high school'. something many of us can relate to....


I left out Fear and Loathing just because it was more of an acid-trip than a stoner character.... that movie was a whole 'nother level of bizarre. i loved it though.
