- Doesn't wash hands after using restroom
- Carries diseases
- Naps in guests bed-sweat and spunk funk

jamo you are a filthy person. Do you at least brush your teeth?

Yes, I brush my teeth, wear clean clothes, and shower daily. I just don't see the point in flu shots, washing hands EVERY time peeing or being being weirded out staking an hour nap in the bed my sister might have spent one night in before changing the sheets. Someone I don't know well is not going to be staying in my home.

i think it's kind of weird you go to the guest bedroom to take a nap.

I would think the couch or your bedroom would be pretty high on that list.

Can we still page 1 since techically jams first post was near the end of the original page 1 which was obviously started by another poster and my post would fall w/in the set number of page 1 posts?

Guest bedroom is quietier so of my husband is home and awake and I'm inclined to take a nap that's where I'll go. I don't nap that much though

Ok I'm bored and I happen to have a pic on my phone...here is my nap room.

How do you sleep on such a tiny bed?

Pics of your family in the guest room. No one wants to look at that ****.

I'm guessing that is an insult. It's a queen sized bed, just a teeny, tiny room.

Probably true, but it's mainly family that stays there. I've been meaning to movre the pics on the wall to the master and put up drapes and get rid of the ugly purple and white pillow.

Definitely need curtains in there...nothing is worse than napping with tons of natural light to annoy you

Yeah, I've been kinda slow finishing that room

Dude, that furniture look like what my grandma had in her apartment in NYC.

She died over 30 years ago. I and Iassume she had said furniture most of her life.

That furniture is probably 50 years old (or more) I just repainted and changed the pulls. It's solid as a rock.

It was uncle (by marriage) parents and I got it as a hand me down for my first apt and liked it and never got rid of it

I would also take out one of the dressers...the room is WAY too cluttered IMO.

Sea bass should have his own show on HGTV lol
jamotoe1
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I thought about it sea bass but I like the extra storage. I use the room more for extra storage in the drawers and closet than for a guest bedroom

Just gives people more stuff to go through when they stay there. People are nosy as ****.

What do you think of the faux flowers?

I've always been iffy about them but I think it works

They add a nice touch...although you MIGHT consider a shade darker to match the bedspread a little closer. Definitely a fan though, really take the room to a whole new dimension.
jamotoe1
How long do you want to ignore this user?
well both the bedspread and flowers were pretty pricey and I got on super sales so I doubt I'll replace either (plus I like them both). might play with adding a blanket at the end of the bed or change pillows to make it match better though

I think this is the first thread I've ever had derailed by Jamo. Do I win some sort of prize?

well neither am I, especially with changes sheets which this thread is about...such a pain. Guest bedroom isn't going to get any bigger and I don't really want to lose the extra dresser or buy a smaller mattress at the moment so that will remain that way. might redo it at some point, but for now it will have to do

Why not sell the bed, get a futon, and make it a hobby room? Like sewing or something?
jamotoe1
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Well I'm nt going to sell a bed, I'd give it away.

American Leather Company makes these fabulous sleeper sofas with tempurpedic mattresses and we just got a king size one for our living room. Eventually we may get another for that room and turn it into more of a den/hobby room. I'm way too old for a futon in my house though

I change the sheets after every guest and if they offer to help the morning of their departure, I gladly accept. If the clean sheets have been on for more than a month between guests I used to rub a dryer sheet over the pillow cases and between the sheets(don't have to tear bed apart to freshen). Now with Febreze the whole room can be freshen easily and quickly.

Guest rooms are usually just a waste of space. They are useful for when people come to visit, but usually it just stays empty
