Are we talking absolute arrogance or unjustified arrogance? Being an Air Force pilot actually is pretty cool, but some other jobs that people are just as arrogant about are really only a bunch of money because of the stress and hours.

Really? I have two good friends who are tv meteorologists, one in a major market, and they NEVER mention it unless someone asks. On the other hand, their coworkers (anchors and reporters) do NOT shut up about their jobs. One girl in particular is a freakin' traffic reporter, and you'd think she was Katie Couric as much as she talks about it.
My vote is a tie between cops and lawyers.
