A wonderful thing. Don't do it if you're dead set on breastfeeding later though.

OK you asked

What the **** is breast reduction surgery? What kind of c*** b****, from hell, would do this to her man? A man would never do that. A man would never go the doctor and say 'Hey dock, can you make this a little smaller I really want to piss my wife off.' You know, for all you big tittied women out that there are a bunch of little tittied women who would like to kick your big tittied ass. All you women with big tits should go 'Thanks god, thanks. Now I don't have to go to college.'

my niece had it done when she was 17...apparently everyone thought it was easier to have major surgery than to make her wear a shirt that fit.

She tried to breastfeed for one week and was so rock hard and sore it was impossible(the ducts were scarred and didn't allow the milk to drain out) so that went out the window.

A few years later she lost some weight and with it went the boobs so now, she wishes they were back. I say this in all kindness, she's an airhead!

I have no problem with the nerves and sensation. I can't speak on the breastfeeding stuff, but I know my doctor said he didn't have any patients that experienced problems.

think of swollen, constipated breasts!

I think my grandma said something about cabbage on swollen boobies. Mine hurt enough, I don't want to think about them being blue boobies.

Many women are able to breastfeed after a reduction. This depends heavily upon the surgeon's technique and how well the patient follows aftercare instructions.

I had it done about 8 years ago. I had lost 60lbs was still a 36G, and finally decided to go through with it. The surgeon took 5 pounds of tissue, bringing me down to a C cup. I was mostly recovered after 4 weeks.

tx...I had 6 lbs removed and still ended up being a D months later. But the recovery time was about the same.

I wore a 32DD and weighed 117 lbs, but probably should have been wearing a bigger cup. Took about 5 lbs total off. Best thing I ever did, but I was totally unable to breastfeed, and that was miserable. I'd been told I'd have a 50-50 shot. Cabbage doesn't work. Even after the surgery, my postpartum boobies made Pamela Anderson look like a boy. Still, after those went down, it was still the best thing for me.

I was measured at 30 and a few letters higher. You definitely needed the surgery.

A good thing I think. My daughter had bra indentions in her shoulders aa a teen so she had it done. She's been very happy with the results.

Watched the surgery on medical TV channel one time. Appeared to be really brutal! They sliced the breast tissue like a cantaloupe and removed every other slice, then sewed the remaining slices back together and replaced the skin. Made a dramatic difference in appearance as well as better posture/ fewer back problems for the woman. Def worth considering for women in pain or with complications because of breast size.

Ewww. No slices. Only a slightly visible scar underneath the girls. But I laughed when I realized the doctor sits you up and makes sure that they line up right.

When I had mine done, I was 115 lbs or less, very liitle body fat, and the 32FF was too small. But I refused to buy the G. They looked fake and people thought I was a stripper. Of course, winning those wet t-shirt contests were easy.

Skran was the one who suggested the surgery. He knew how much my neck and back hurt, and how bad my migraines had gotten. They took well over 5lbs and I was a 32D. I wish they would have taken more. After having a kid and stuff, I'm a 36DD now. But since I had grown so fast, I had a very small chance of being able to BF. Once the doctor got in there, he said my milk ducts were damaged, so I wouldn't have been able to anyways. When I had Maya, I had no milk or anything come in. Just business as usual.

It was the best decision I made and would do it again in a heartbeat.

How can one thread be full of so much win and fail at the same time??

My mom had the same problem and she had the reduction after kids.

The doctor came out in the middle of surgery to inform my parents and get their consent to change the plans accordingly. But BF wasn't ever high on my list of priorities since I didn't think I was able to have children. But, I proved them wrong! And formula was fine. Maya is super healthy and never sick. She has her Father's genes.

But I still have big boobs. I wish I had gone smaller.

Wait just a minute...as a woman with massive milkers, did you really give yourself the handle of "TxElsie"?

This Elsie?

GoneGirl
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Not really... Elsie was my cat in college. She'd sleep on my keyboard to keep me from getting on TxAgs. I think she posted a couple of times too. But in reality, since most of the people on TexAgs are BSC, I thought that the name of a calico cat would be appropriate, since every one knows that calico cats are the devil (a la John Ashcroft)
