what in the hell are you talking about?
I believe he's saying that he keeps fat stacks of cash at his house in case of emergency and that you can't do the same because you live in a more densely populated area
yeah, I got that, but the point is to carry a few hundred on you because you can never predict when you need access to cash

most of the ATMs in NYC dispense 10s, not 20s.
If there is an emergency in NYC, there is a stampede of people, and you're liable to get trampled to death.
I thought everyone kept $200-$300 on them at all times for emergencies. I even keep foreign currency (pounds, yen, euros) in my passport wallet just in case.

yes, and I would rather do it in C notes than 20s...I realize I could go to any bank and get them changed, but it'd be far more convenient if I could just get it out of the ATM

Nervy, that's the daily spending limit. I don't know if I could get 10k in cash but you're right there's an IRS form you have to do if you take 10k in cash of deposit 10 in cash.
I have used it more than once in a day to withdraw 1k at the Horseshoe in Shreveport. I think I hit it three times.
