Porn stars are tested monthly in regards to std's. Most only work 1 or 2 times a month. That's probably better than many college freshman.
They're still getting paid to have sex. How's that not prostitution?

They're getting paid to let people watch them have sex. Prostitution is illegal.
If you believe that a high grossing porn star would be barred from working because of a non-lethal std, you are naive.
Barred from the studio no, but from the other participant yes. Porn stars are close knit group, it is often frowned upon for them to have relations outside the porn circle. I promise you I would feel more afraid to have sex with a stupid slut in college than a porn star.
