/rant

I just picked up a new headlight for my vehicle, and the guy at the register asked me 5 times if I wanted him to install it for me.

Upon asking for the part intially, I said "I just need the part, I can install it myself."

Is it really so hard to believe that I can't do something as simple as installing a new headlight on my own? If you are a woman, and can't do this, thanks for giving those of us who can a bad rap.

Someone asked me that last week when I changed mine. I just thought it was a guy who was being very polite and I wouldn't have thought about beetching about it.

I actually did need his help because I dropped the package it came in way down where I couldn't reach it and he got it out for me. That was nice of him.

The head light panel can be hard to get to depending on your vehicle,. It was a valid question, and you need to lighten up a bit. If he was not trying to charge you for it, you should have let him do it. Perhaps you should just ask him for the headlight fluid next time.

I thanked him for wanting to help. But, geesh, some men don't know that "no" means "no".

I understand him asking once, but 5 times? Seriously.

And yes, I love beer. I have a 2010 Deschutte's Abyss that came of age yesterday. I can't wait to open it!

And yes, I love sports. There is nothing better than college basketball, imo. Hooray, 24 hour tip off today!!

There's a difference between being nice and being overtly demeaning. I won't go back to Sterling auto in Bryan because of how the men in the service department treated me because I was a woman.

Would it be a proper sticker? Or would this be the only acceptable tattoo a woman could have?

Because you don't just install a headlight, you have to align it as well... often on newer vehicles with a torx tool that most people don't have. Hopefully it is pointed somewhat in the direction it was supposed to be in out of the box and not directing your low beam directly into the eyes of oncoming traffic. Sounds like this guy was trying to help you out and you cut him off.

Because, as sad as this may sound, these are traits women believe that men will find desirable in a woman. They think that if they advertise having such qualities/skills that they will attract a larger quantity of possible mates. I'd bet $20.00 that the OP is single.

It would be a tramp stamp tattoo. "Inspected and certified safe to use"

It would look similar to those found at gas stations on the pumps. They would have the issuing agency's seal and you add a small yearly inspection tattoo in the circle around the seal. They will use a special ink which includes a UV dye. This way women cant fake the certification by going to a tattoo shop.

It could also serve as an alternate form of ID.

What because I like sports? BFD. I like sports because they are fun to watch. It has never helped me get a guy. In fact, I think it has hurt me more than helped.
