Crane Lake merlot is not bad. Under $10.
Wine snobs are the best. They usually don't even drink that much.....but when they do its better than your choice.

I have to disagree on yellow tail... tastes like crap. The reserve or whatever their more premium wine is, is much better.
Side note... I was driving around today and noticed a street named Strawberry Hill. I'd love to have that address!

my mom got me a bottle of yellow tail and menage a trois once as a gift, the yellow tail didn't even come close to the menage's quality

Arrow Creek is a better cheap merlot than yellow tail.

We actually use their website to see when and where lots will be sold. When a new lot comes in at Costco, its usually sold out in a day or two.

I had a cameron hughes wine last night that was horrible, it was a white - I think sauvignon blanc - I hate SB, so maybe that was it
I have found Cameron Hughes labeled wines to be inconsistent.

as far as cheap actual wine goes, menage a trois is impossible to beat for $6/bottle. I've had some turrible $5-10 bottles of wine and some great ones. Also had some pretty crappy $30-40 bottles as well.
