Ok, so for as long as I can remember there has been a strip club named Heartbreakers in Dickinson. Just beyond thier sign there is a billboard that has always been advertising a church and thier default sign is "Jesus Heals The Broken Hearted", which is a direct slam at Hertbreakers.

Now recently I've noticed there is a new billboard in front of the 2 strip clubs coming off Galveston Island, one of which is an all nude joint. It is also an advertisement for a local church and it's tag is simply "The Naked Truth" along with the church information and sermon times. This also seems like it is making reference to the goings on at the clubs.

So I was curious if anyone has seen similar trends in other areas.

In some small town along I-45 there's a XXX bookstore with a billboard just up the road screaming "PORN DESTROYS FAMILIES!" or something like that.

They both are only after your money.

Same setup with the porn store and church sign on I-35 just north of Waco.

I think that is between La Marque and the Hitchcock exit.

I45 between FM 646 and HWY 146 has everything a man could need. There is a gun store, strip club, several liquor stores, a Kelly's Country Cooking, and a XXX book store.

They change the sign every once in a while. I parked in the parking lot about a month ago and looked up and it said something like "Mommy where is Daddy and when is he coming home" or something to that effect.

I remember making the drive to c stat right after anna nicole smith died, I passed through rice and an adult video store had a billboard that was advertising buy 1 get 1 free on ANS DVDs, and right next to it a church had a billboard saying "dont get porn, get reborn"

Churches and strip clubs are natural neighbors. You go to church to have some wine and try to pick up hotties in church dresses. If you strike out, there is an easier place next door. Even better, if she's a real sloot, you can take her next door in her church dress and into a private room, and ...

Yeah, they change it up for special messages and whenever they have guest speakers and special events, but it always returns to the default message eventually.

One of the worst nights in my life involved a trip to Whispers. When we ran out of money, we bought a case of beer and headed up to one of the fine establishments that operates within the Dmitri city limits.

For ages Methodist and Baptist churches were built in close proximity to one another. Then CVS became compelled to build across the street from every Walgreen's. Now this.

A former co-worker often referred to the fact that he was out at least $200 in "tithes" every time he went to The Church or headed down to Dickinson to the Temple of the Broken Heart.
