Wandered upstairs at Basil Whippets on NG Friday before last. It was kinda a like a rave up there. Not really my scene.

Electro at basils indeed. I was there spinning on friday the 25th and will again if I can ever get ahold of tammy. The scene is growing, it's not everyone's scene, but hey I'll point you to dukes or harrys.

unless you plan on keeping them to yourself, please don't bring these. having them rain down on your head during a glowstick war becomes painful. stick to the lightweight bendy ones.

Most DJs I listen to are computer. I'm sure there are old schoolers out there with vinyl.

I went to a PotD and had a water war, talk about AMAZEING under those conditions 
Started on vinyl to learn the basics. Now I use time codes with traktor.

Are you being sarcastic because if your not I would just guess your thinkin Dubstep which is in my opinion the most popular form of techno at the moment.
Sounds more like Drum and Bass. DubStep would be wub wub wub wub wub wub wub.

I don't know the words to describe electronic noises but I'll investigate this "dub step" and "drum and bass"
