To me that seems like a cop out. It's not contagious. I've never canceled a date in my life, and hate it when women do it to me.

I've never had a migraine though. But I have had a herniated disk in my back where there was more disk in my spinal canal than between my vertabrae. I even went on a few dates with that but never canceled even though it was excruciating pain 24-7 for several months.

Opinions of ladies would be preferred.

It was easier than saying "not now, I have a headache".

not a lady, but very, very, very few people get legit migraines. Most people saying they have migraines know 1) you aren't going to verify it or see signs of it later and 2) want to get out of what you had planned.

I have had migraines so bad I could not function. When you are dry heaving and cant see straight, its rough.

not saying you don't have a legit migraine BUT she is most likely taking it is a "i need to wash my hair" excuse

is there nothing you can take? (i've never had one either)

Last year when riding in the Hotter Than Hell 100, around mile 82 I was starting to hurt pretty bad. One of the guys in our group suffers from migranes and had this little white pill with him that he shared with a couple of us. This little cocktail of drugs made us feel like we could ride 100 more miles. It was THE AWESOME!

The Imitrex injections work the best for me, but they make my skin feel like it is on fire. Nasal spray is pretty solid, but doesnt always knock it out completely. Vicodin is pretty much the only thing that is extremely effective for me, without side effects.

Luckily I haven't had a serious one in years.

Migraines are enough to keep you from any kind of function, I'd pass on a 3some with Katy Perry and Bar Rafaeli at that moment (only because I would likely puke on them, and any noise and movement they made would cause me pain)



I take that back, I'd go ahead with the 3some, puke in a garbage can, wear earplugs, and sunglasses, and **** in a cooled room on top of a hundred pillows.

Shine a bright light in their eyes if they scream like a gremlin in sunlight then it's legit otherwise you're just ugly.

I probably should have mentioned she canceled on me.

I got plenty of vicodin I could loan her...haha.

I was taking like 10-12 vicodin a day for my back at one point. Even that only helped marginally.

To me her excuse seems like a cop out. I probably won't give her another chance. I just think it's pretty ****ty to cancel on someone at the last second.

She's probably telling the truth. Why don't you ride on over and see if she needs any meds?

If she asked to reschedule, it's probably legit.

If not, she's just a B for canceling at the last minute.

She did ask to reschedule...for Tuesday. Tuesday <<< Friday.

Like I said, I've never had a migraine, so I can't speak for that. I've just had chronic nerve pain, but that didn't force me to canceling plans with friends, including a few dates.

I have hereditary migraines...I get about 3 a year that are so bad that I can barely see and don't know what is going on around me. So, yes...a migraine can be a valid excuse.

Having said that, if she is alert enough and talking to you about it, trying to reschedule, etc while she has the migraine, I'd say it was probably just a headache or she doesn't want to go out with you.

I can barely talk when I have a migraine, much less plan a social gathering with someone.

my daughter gets migraines, she does not feel well and she can sleep them off and then she is fine, i think if she rescheduled you are good and who cares if it is a tuesday, go have fun and if it works out, schedule another one if not, oh well, i can think of worse things to do on a tuesday

I get migraines all the time and if i dont go to sleep its just gets more painful. I think you should just believe that she does have one and see what happens on tuesday! If she comes up with another excuse then you will have your answer and you should blow her off.

migraines suck..excruciating pain

My husband gets them and they are horrible. He had one last week that when he called me from work I wasn't sure if he was going to be able to drive home. As soon as he walked in the door he threw up. Only thing he can do to make them go away is to lay down in a very dark room and sleep it off. So if she does get real migraines then I could see her cancelling.
