Never bought fireworks before but want to get some this year for the kiddos. I have a 6 year old and 2 year old, so are there any that are safe for my 6 year old to actually handle?
yeah i figured they may be too young to participate, but wasn't sure. What about some decent ones to set off that are safe for them to at least be around??
tell them to light bottle rockets and hold it in their hand until they feel it pull a little then let go. also, shooting them down the street is fun too.
like the poster said above. letting them have roman candle fights is also a must.
I think I was about the elder's age when I was first being allowed to light fireworks under my grandfather's supervision - wasn't really lighting the night stuff, but was going crazy on the day stuff.
With sparklers, get the ones w/ the wooden handles, not the metal ones.

We used to get the little boats that you lit and then put in the pool that would drive around and shoot off the planes over the fence into the neighbors yard.. that and poppers and cherry bombs
They are not legal within either city, and I think the ban extends to a certain distance outside the city limits. They are not only illegal to shoot, but also to possess.
