Honestly? No.

I am not let something like sex pressure me in to a marriage. If I'm dating a fit girl and things heat up then cool down without sex, I am going to believe sex is going to be a huge selling point for marriage. I would want other things besides such carnal feelings factor in to something huge.

Besides, I'd want to date a girl for a long while before I married her.

Also, I'm not religious.

I didn't just date one, I married her. That was the principle we were raised on: no sex until marriage. We've been together forty years come August 30.

It's a shame we each have only had one sexual partner. We missed so many things: unplanned pregnancy, AIDS, syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia, genital herpes, all those other gifts that keep on giving. Poor us.

If sex ed was frank and told kids what was up, we'd be better off.

My extended family comes from a Catholic background, but several had unplanned pregnancies before marriage.

Just because you could wait doesnt mean it should be the mainstream consensus on the issue.

Serious answer-

I honestly don't think I would share the same viewpoints on life and relationships and everything else in this world with someone who was abstaining from sex before marriage.

I think that issue would speak to many other things where myself and this other mythical person would not agree - and that would be a problem.

So - I don't think this person would exist - the sex issue speaks to many other things.

That's all I date. I want that first time on the wedding night to be awkward and funny. I'd much MUCH rather go through the clumsiness of our simultaneous firsts rather than have everything go routinely and be thinking about all of the guys before me.

as far as I'm aware you can still have unplanned pregnancy's when you're married.

and I agree with krazlys - sex can change girls if they're not aware of some of the hormornal/emotional situations they may face.
