... Flash Flood Warnings Are In Effect Through 4 PM CDT For Uvalde, Real, Medina, Bandera, Kerr, Bexar, Kendall, Gillespie, Llano, Burnet, Blanco, Hays, Comal, Guadalupe, Wilson, Karnes, Dewitt, Gonzales, Caldwell, Travis, Williamson, Bastrop, Fayette, And Lavaca Counties...
A Band Of Showers And Thunderstorms With Very Heavy Rainfall Rates Of 2 To 3.5 Inches Per Hour Continued From Burnet To Georgetown To Austin To Gonzales To Karnes City, Cuero, And Hallettsville. The Rains Were Moving North At 20 Mph And Will Aggravate Ongoing Flood Problems As They Train Over The Same Areas.
Elsewhere, A Stedaily Decreasing Area Of Rain Continued Across The Hill County And South Central Texas. Even Through Rainfall Rates Were Less Than One - Quarter Inch Per Hour, Flood Problems Continued. Also, Showers And Thunderstorms Were Redeveloping Over Far Southern Texas And Moving North Toward This Area.
Numerous Rivers And Creeks Across The Hill Country And South Central Texas Were Already In Flood Or Were Rapidly Approaching Flood With River Flood Warnings Issued. Also, Widespread Road Closures Continued.
Areas Of Rain And Thunderstorms Will Continue Through The Afternoon Hours. Additional Rainfall Amounts Through Late Afternoon Will Average 2 To 4 Inches With Isolated Amounts Of 6 To 8 Inches. Some Rainfall Rates Could Approach 5 Inches Per Hour. These Torrential Rains Will Exacerbate Already Flooded Conditions.
This Is A Dangerous Life Threatening Situation. Persons Are Advised To Travel Only When Absolutely Necessary. Keep Away From Low Lying Or Flood Prone Areas... Swollen Rivers... Creeks And Streams. Motorists Should Not Attempt Driving Through Low Water Crossings When Water Covers The Road... And Obey All Barricade Markers.
