I really want to do this to at least two closets. My life needs some major organization.

Actually I just realized I think I might be wrong. I need to re-read The Silmarillion
Container Store has the 'elf' stuff on their annual 30% sale. I may go and have them build me a closet and give me a quote.

I did it. As long as you don't buy all the baskets and drawers right away, it doesn't cost that much. Very easy and very flexible. It takes about a half hour to install the top rails, and everything else just hangs off of those.
We did the kids closets using easyclosets.com. Pretty easy to create your own system and they weren't too difficult to build if you have some help.

Alas, it is not in this house, but the last one I flipped over. It was one of the selling points, and the built in bed and the built in desk and cabinets in the office.
But, You can buy the brackets and stuff at home depot and Lowe's pretty cheap. Then buy 1 x 12's for the wood, or they have pre-cut melamine stuff too.

Not hard to build at all. In fact I am about to do it to Mrs. JK's office... She has no space for her medical billing crap.
Seriously - if you know anyone with a smidgen of handiness, they can build something like this much cheaper than hiring someone.

I am bad with direction. My aunt came over yesterday and helped me move the baby furniture around and organize the nursery better. She is GOOD at that stuff. I should make her come look at it.
